Friction investigation

Today we tested materials to find out which material created the most friction. We used a toy car to do this. We measured the distance traveled 3 times.

Year 5 Primary Science Challenge

As part of this years primary science challenge we had a visit from Whitchurch Silk Mill. They explained to us how the mill worked, we then took part in a variety of activities investigating the water mill.

Air resistance

Today we had great fun outside investigating air resistance. First we used a parachute to demonstrate how air molecules get trapped. Then we ran across the field with different sized pieces of paper to see which one created the most air resistance. Which one do think did?
